Gossip Girl fashion [part $35 running shoes on sale for $59. Feel old and non-supportive from the jump. I would not buy this model again.

however, because the sizing was sooo off, I am deducting a star. I will be ordering them in a size down and hoping for better results.

Gossip Girl fashion [part this I generally love Merrells but this walking shoe ended up giving me blisters and pains in the bottoms of my feet and the sides - not just once, but on several occasions. I thought maybe I had to break them in for a period but after 6 or so 4-5 mile hikes they were still hurting me so much that I ended up going out and buying a pair of Vasque hiking shoes to replace them and had no problems. I spoke to other people and found that they too had problems. Be sure you buy these at least a half size to full size larger than you normally wear and then maybe they will be OK. I recommend you try Vasque's instead - they are great and you do not have to 'break them in'.
